ntroduction
Shortly after the end of World War II, when the nation and the people was still suffering from destructions and despairs, a group of far-sighted Chinese business leaders have decided to initiate the formation of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pahang (ACCCIP). After much efforts and attempts, it was formally launched in the year 1947, serving as an umbrella organization for all its constituent members at district level.

Today, ACCCIP has successfully linked up 8 district level constituent members in Lipis, Jerantut, Kuantan, Bentong, Temerloh, Raub, Rompin and Bera, as a common platform to champion the interests of Chinese business community. Similar to any other organization formally registered under the Societies Act 1966, ACCCIP relies on democratic elections held biennially to elect its central committee. The day-to-day functioning of ACCCIP is subject to the authority of the central committee; which consists of President,Deputy President, Vice- President (2 posts), Secretary(appointed), Treasurer(appointed), committee members (8 posts) and 4 officers-in-charge and 4 assistant officer-in-charge of sub-committees.

Since its inception, ACCCIP has strived to act as an effective link between government authorities and Chinese business communities. At other times, it also serves as a common platform among Chinese businessmen to promote welfare and charity. In recent years and with the advent of globalization, ACCCIP has taken the lead to interface with the outside world . Its trade delegation has traveled to many parts of China and neighbouring countries to explore and experience the challenges of globalization.

ACCCIP will continue to strive on for the benefits of its members and the business community in need of guidance and leadership. 59 years has passed, ACCCIP is still growing strong; to fulfill its traditional roles or to assume greater challenges in a globalized setting.
